About this deal

Complete Guide to Vape Kits - Our in-depth guide covers everything you need to know about vape kits. After around a while of testing, we found that the Xlim C coils can last between 7 and 22 days with the average being 13 days which is high for a pod device using Nic Salt e-liquid. What type of person is the OXVA Xlim C kit for? To refill the included 2ml OXVA Xlim C pod, all you need to do is pull out the silicone plug that’s on the side to reveal the filling port and top up with your chosen e-liquid. You can also adjust the airflow to feel tighter or looser by using the switch on the side of the device. To get the most out of your kit, we’d recommend using it with an e-liquid that has a 50/50 or a high PG concentration. There are two coil options in this kit; a 0.6-ohm coil and a 0.8-ohm coil. The 0.6-ohm coil fires between 18- 22 watts depending on your setting, while the 0.8-ohm coil fires between 13-17 watts. There is also an additional option available (not included) which is a 1.2-ohm coil that fires between 8-12 watts.

It is frosted but still clear enough to see the pod contents. When it is installed in the mod you can tip it to see the e-liquid level remaining which is great. Press the fire button 3X to switch between the three available power levels which are Green(high), Blue(medium), and Red(low)I mainly used my own e-liquid mix which is 50/50 PG/VG made from IVG Bubblegum Concentrate at 20% ratio. This is quite high a flavour ratio as I prefer plenty of flavour, but sadly this means it can be a coil killer sometimes.

Trying this with 70/30 e-liquid (IVG Select Bubblegum) with approx 6mg of nic salt added this was fine. The first coil I tried was the 0.8Ω (ohm) coil, and this lasted me two whole weeks before the flavour started to wane. This might be the best coil life I’ve ever gotten out of a pod kit. In some other models, I’ve found the airflow adjustment switch to be flimsy and easily moved—but on the Xlim C, this isn’t the case. The switch is sturdy and stable and stays exactly where you set it, which is nice for me as a tight MTL vaper. There’s nothing worse than a flimsy airflow adjustment on a vape when you like your draw a little more restricted. I love surprises which is handy as I wasn’t expecting OXVA to send in the XLIM C kit. To make it even better, it was purple, and that is always a decent way to instantly get in my good books. But on the flip side, it is yet another pod kit in an ever crowded market. Surely there are only so much you can do with a pretty basic pod system, but OXVA are usually pretty good at delivering great products and an all-round excellent vape, so I didn’t roll my eyes quite as much as I usually do when having to review bread and butter vaping gear. Specs and Contents

Thinking of airflow in terms of score out of 10 (0 being closed and 10 being breathing fresh air) I found the following… You will need to install the coil, fill up, charge and away you go! Don’t panic I will guide you through this in this section! Basic Operation What are Nic Salts? - Your ultimate guide on Nic Salt E-Liquids, how they work, and why you should use them. The front of the device has the OXVA logo and the rear is totally plain. A nice paint gradient effect gives this a glow and it has a metallic finish. Warning: If the coils has a sub-ohm resistance, please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. Always use proper precautions and handling.

I used 50/50 20-24 mg nicotine salt juices with these coils, and the flavor was great for a pod system. The coils performed at a pretty similar level. The 0.6-ohm coil did seem to produce more clouds, but I felt that the 0.8-ohm coil was actually a little better for flavor and better suited for the device. But really, you can’t go wrong with either. With both coils I would say fully open is around a 5 and fully closed it is about 0.5. The range therefore has increased for this version as the other Xlims were around a 3 in fully open. OXVA Xlim C Airflow rangeThis performs exactly as you would expect, the kit contents are generous with 2 different coils, lanyard and USB cable – some manufacturers keep the contents on the stingy side to reduce costs. How Long Do Coils Last? - An in-depth guide to coil life and how to keep your coils going for longer. There can be no doubt that OXVA produce some of the best kits in the game when it comes to small pod devices. The Xlim C really is a great kit but I remain unconvinced it’s better than it’s predecessors. The replaceebale coil seems unecessary and I can’t see any upside to it. Although the Xlim C doesn’t leak and the coils last well, it does make it prone to these things. The flavour production is incredible, just like disposables with the right liquid. Battery life is strong and an adjustable airflow is of course welcomed. All round, this is an excellent kit for beginners. The Xlim C offers dual activation, Smart Mode for power adjustment, and RDTL & MTL vape style compatibility.

You get a massive throat hit which is obvious due to the lower resistance coil and higher power level (22W on high). The OXVA Xlim C replacement coils are designed to be used with the OXVA Xlim C vape kit. Thanks to there being multiple versions of this coil, you’re able to create an MTL (Mouth To Lung) and an RDTL (Restricted Direct To Lung) inhale. Plus, their mesh build means that e-liquid is heated up faster, creating a fuller flavour. Compared to my other Xlims this has the advantage of a wider airflow range (much better for RDL vapers) and obviously less waste as you just discard spent coils. Also I have not spotted any dribbles from the fill port cover which I have had on other Xlims. This is perfectly happy with my 6mg Nic salt 50/50 e-liquid but is not quite as smooth as the 0.8ohm coil. I found I used this at the lowest power setting (18W) as it really felt warm and harsh on the higher power settings.

OXVA Xlim C Quick Start Guide

There is also an airflow slider on the side which lets you adjust from a solid MTL to a restricted DL vape. So, the device does allow for some fine-tuning. I can’t comment yet on whether the coils will be more economical than the pods of the earlier versions, plus I am not at a point to assess whether the coil life is as good either. The output is specified as 25W maximum but there are 3 levels of power output to select. These power levels depend on the coil installed… The base is where you’ll find the USB port, so you need to lay it down to charge. It has rounded edges which are purely cosmetic, but to aid stability there is a ridge around the flat surfaces so it stands up very well when you put it down. Whilst it is nice to have a pod kit that stands up solidly, I did find it a little uncomfortable but that is down to the way I hold smaller devices. I usually sort of rest it on the crook of my little finger as this is the best position for me when it comes to lining my other fingers up with the fire button, and the ridge rubs slightly. So far with the Xlim series, we’ve yet to see changeable coils, so it was a nice treat to get to try these for the first time.
