This book can be read as a standalone since Isaac is normally such an insignificant character in the other books. You may not even remember him fully! But not anymore. Isabelle is flying to her new job. Boy, she hates to fly. She is so deathly afraid of flying that on the first leg of her journey, she didn't even let go of her death grip on the armrest the entire flight. Now, she has to do it all over again on the second leg. Thankfully, this is a much shorter flight for her. As she is going through the airport, she literally falls into the most handsome gentleman she has ever seen. He is very much dressed to impress and is a very confident man. As he tries to balance her and help her up with her things, they bump heads again. He can't help but be amused at all that is happening right now. He then invites her to the lounge to wait with him until her flight. She graciously accepts until she realizes how pitifully undressed she would be for a place like that. He tells her it won't matter, and she follows him inside. Once there, he reaches behind the bar like he owns the place. He gets some ice for her eye and gets some glasses for their drink. The bartender brings over the whiskey like he knows exactly what Isaac wants. After the drink, Isabelle realizes she is going to be late for her flight if she doesn't hurry. She thanks her gentleman and runs out the door. Little does she know, he has a plan to see her on the next flight. He helps her calm her nerves and entices her in every way imaginable. She knows she needs to stay away from him. He invites her as a one and done deal to a club that Saturday. After their encounter, she can't get him out of her head. She hopes one day she will see him again but also knows she cannot become involved with him. Ever. She is an FBI agent, but couldn't handle a murder scene. It is explained why she can't handle it but I wished Isabelle could have been a stronger character. Isaac Holt lives and breathes his empire. He started it with nothing but his own blood, sweat, and tears. And he has no intentions of letting anything or anyone get in the way of his empire’s success. “My business is my empire. I worked relentlessly for years to get where I am. I eat, breathe, and sleep for my empire. Nothing has ever been able to divert my attention away from my goals and aspirations for the past five years. Nothing at all. Until I saw her.” The her is Isabelle and his eternal weakness. Something about her touches him and makes him have a soft spot for her no matter what he does to try and stay away. Eventually he gives in and tries to make it all about her, and devote himself romantically to her, vowing to be her protector for as long as he is alive.

The Ophelia story at the end was complete and utter bullshit. Why?!? Why bring that into the end. That was awful. It isn’t until fate throws these two into each other’s lives that things get really interesting. She falls at the feet of Isaac Holt and he is smitten with her right away. The first real problem with that is that he doesn’t do relationships or commitments. He has been burned far too badly in the past to go down that road again. “I don’t have time for relationships. If we do this, I need you to be fully aware that this is a one-time-only deal. There won’t be any calls in the morning, no dates next week. One time only.” They never followed the rules at all. Especially during her murder trial, they were completely careless about seeing each other without real regards to the consequences.I still have my original half review saved on my notes and maybe one day I’ll post it. But I was in a completely different place then than I am now. And I think that is one reason why I could never have finished this review before now. The story that spans these four books follows Isaac Holt and Isabelle Brahm, and takes us on a heart-aching, intense, nail biting, incredible, panty melting ride of our lives. This boxed set drew me in right at the beginning of book one and kept me completely enthralled the whole way through to the end of book four. Ms. Boyes is a true genius when it comes to captivating storylines, endearing and interesting characters, scintillating dialogue and vivid descriptive details. If she isn’t on your must-read author list, then she really should be.

To be honest I thought after book 3 I would have started to get fed up of Isabelle and Isaac like I have with others before but no – I still love them and I still want more! I definitely don’t want this series to end! I have a feeling I am heading for a book hangover! The characters were annoying and the writing accentuated this by trying to use language and expressions that didn’t work or were just completely wrong. Plus everyone is constantly groaning and moaning and it’s weird. I am really enjoying the friendship that is building between Isabelle and Hugo – I really like Hugo but I am starting to wonder what his story is – there is a few hints about him during the books but nothing is every fully disclosed! I hope we find out more about him in the final book!So if you want to read a story that completely changes your life, read not only this one but all of Isaac & Izzy’s books. Isaac will, forever & always, be my number one. He’s everything I needed at the time when I met him and I didn’t even know it, not just him, but Izzy and Hugo and Hunter and everyone else as well. This whole universe changed my life. Isaac ( Mr Holt) is a club owner he’s extremely private and only let a small amount of people in to his private life he don't do relationships or dating just one night stands which at the time was working fine for him. His life is hectic with business but he's extremely mysterious and abit broody at times but it just adds to the his sex appeal the dark handsome time yum. When he meets Isabelle he doesn't realise his world is going to be turned upside down. Can they survive secrets they have? Can Isabelle break through his walls and get to his heart??? As the story unfolds, the storyline flows from one book into the next- taking us on a truly incredible journey with characters that will capture your heart and mind. I have spent quite a lot of time reflecting on how to do this boxed set real justice- how do I write a review that will convey just how amazing these books are and give you an idea of the story, without giving away any spoilers. I could go into more detail about what each book is about, but I think that gives away too much and you are better off not knowing too many details and just immersing yourself in the stories.

Wow this novel is amazing you will definitely not be disappointed in Isaacs and Isabelle’s story it's hot and the chemistry between them is so hot it could set your kindle on fire. I loved Isaac and he is the perfect guy for my stories, but Isabelle was annoying as crap!! She cries over EVERYTHING!! He hates it and I hated it just as much. I was like, "She is an FBI agent....get over your crap." Isaac and Izzy are still our main characters that we are following, but we see a lot of the same supporting people too, like Isaacs right hand man, Hugo, amongst others. Just when Isaac thought he and Izzy were in the clear for the most part and able to focus on a relationship things blow up. Izzy is arrested and being framed for murder. “I knew something wasn’t right when the heaviness that has been plaguing my chest the past week amplified. But I never expected it to be something as mammoth as this. The beautiful, kind-hearted, never says a bad word about anyone, Isabelle has been arrested for murder. You think I would have recognized the signs. The protectiveness she displayed earlier today when I said I didn’t need her to protect me. Her bold statement about not being able to breathe without me in her life. The fact that she allowed her hands to become stained to help my family. They were all signs I should have been watching for. Isabelle’s possessiveness of me is just as paramount as my protectiveness of her. I would do anything in my power to protect her, anything at all. Obviously, Isabelle, fells the same way about me.”It's like we spent this novel questioning the case against Isaac Holt. I am still here wondering, what was the point of it all?

Enigma: The Complete Collection is a boxed set that contains the first four books in the Enigma series by Shandi Boyes. The four books are;This series had romance, (lots of) sex, suspense, mystery and misdirection to lead us, the reader, to think one thing is going to happen when perhaps something else is going to take place. Isabelle introduces herself to Brandon but before he can answer Alex yells across the office telling Brandon he wanted the paper work and now. Alex wanted a blonde agent as they have only seen him with blondes over the last couple of months, seeing Isabelle is a brunette he yells at someone else, telling Isabella that she is not here for her brains but as eye candy for Isaac. Neither Isabella or Isaac are what they seem on the outside, and in the author’s own words ‘Until you have your own legitimate reason not to like someone, you should treat them how you wish to be treated’ I have loved this first book and can’t wait to get my teeth sunk into Isaac #2. The only downfall with this book was the cliff-hanger ending, but that just made me more eager to get onto the next book. Enigma: The Mystery unmasked by Shanti Boyes a twiterpating five-star read. This is the third book in the Enigma series and it is just as fast paced and thrill filled as the first book. One of the things about this series is how we are shown how Isabella Brahn has been through a lot, and has had to fight for everything she believes in and loves, we are shown that no matter how hard she fights, she can’t always win. This story goes from strength to strength, I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. You can’t help but watch her fight and want to stand alongside her holding her hand and getting the punching bag ready. Isabelle, or Izzy, is new to the FBI. She just got her first assignment to a team and is excited to finally be accomplishing the goals that she has been living for her whole life. Izzy also has a past that not many know or understand and that in many ways makes her an Enigma too.
